Good morning everyone.

I started my business in 2017.

I started it for 2 reasons- 1- I was the plug when anyone needed good quality small chops because I was such a small chops fanatic, and 2- I saw an opportunity in my passion to make money.
I never went into this business because I was looking for money even though at that time I was broke but it wasn’t the money that motivated because if it was, I would have quit. It was the passion.

When I started, I started as a partnership.
I did not have a pot or grill of my own. I discussed with my family small chops vendor to enter into a partnership with me. I had the mouth for good tasting small chops with an audience and he had the skill.
Along the line, I started learning the art of making small chops and I started upping my game. The guy remained my plug for production and my standard started to increase.

As my standard increased, my clients started to increase.

I eventually moved in from that partnership
But the partnership helped me grow my business.

I moved on to another partnership about a year after and that went so well too. We were producing together and had a profit sharing formula.

I was in charge of marketing and quality control and my partner did production.
One thing I never took for granted was my network.

I will sound like motivational speakers 😂😂😂 your network is your net worth. I leveraged off my community of friends and advertised aggressively to them.

I will beg them to give me small chops requests.
Thank God for my friends and family who supported me.

As the brand grew, I made sure my quality never went down. I consistently maintained top quality and took every negative complaints seriously.
I ask people who want to start business 2 things - what is your passion? Do you know how to market that passion??
It’s been so easy for me to push my business because it’s my passion and I market it aggressively.

I have tried to ALWAYS produce good quality food and that seems to have been my selling point because a good product markets itself.
I also try to build relationships with my clients so they can be free to give me feedback when we are doing something wrong but they can still come back because they know no one is above mistake.

There are days my small chops isn’t sweet but hey.. we are all human.
I always try as much as possible not to dwell on my shortcomings. You guys will never understand how much I appreciate feedback because it makes my brand bigger and stronger.
I for one will never do a business I can’t market. I will never do a business I don’t understand or believe in, because that’s the only way I will be passionate enough to push it out there.
I did so many businesses before sheduchops. I’m sure some of you remember when I used to sell chiffon fabrics on the tl. I did that for a while but got bored because my passion wasn’t fashion but food 😁
The reason I’m sharing this is to encourage each and everyone of us on this tl to actually enjoy what we do because it keeps us motivated to continue pushing when there’s no business coming.
There were days I didn’t sell a single pack not to now talk of a tray but I didn’t care. I will still post and keep pushing.
The funny thing is, while doing my business, I’ve never for once stop working. I’ve been running my business simultaneously with my career and I have checks in place to make sure we aren’t slacking.
Now, I have 3 assistants/managers because I can’t even do all the work alone anymore and we are opening our first official pick up and walk in store in a few weeks. Isn’t God good? 😊
I am eternally grateful to God for bringing me thus far and for the strength He gave me to pull through on bad days.
Damn! And the support I’ve received on this app is tremendous. I can never ever take this love for granted. This app has shaped and built this brand so so much. The love, the RTs, the constant referrals, the advise, the feedback. My goodness! It’s been real.
Started on this app with only my phone and foot soldiers for delivery. Now, we are counting down to open our store and we have 3 bikes for sheduchops delivery.

We sincerely appreciate all the love.

Gos bless us all. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Keep pushing. Don’t give up on what you love doing. Don’t get tired.

Do I have bad days?? Oh yes most definitely!! They even sometimes linger into weeks. But I always pick myself up and keep it moving.

The sheduchops team has been amazing. Can’t even take them for granted.
Thank you Twitter for loving little me so much and believing in my standard.
