Okay I caved and wanna share the stuff about my space au that probably doesn’t need to be explained but I wanna do it anyway

Lets start with Jirou/bkg’s species which is currently unnamed (dw it’ll have specifics one day)

Basic anatomy is first things first !!!

- Overview on anatomy and sexual dimorphism-

An exoskeleton like outerlayer cover’s this species body.

YES they do have bones under their real skin, but they’re fragile and only meant to support the body when in molt or intense physical activities.

Their ‘skin’ isn’t soft but it’s not entirely hard either. Slightly pliable and honestly, it feels like .... soft leather in a sense

This species is very very flexible ! Their bones CAN break, which acts more like fiberglass in a sense it splinters instead of snaps. Super rare

The feathers are for attraction (like birds of paradise and their funky feathers) and for feeling. Kind of like a cat’s whiskers!! The feathers do not fall out all at once, but one by one. They still have them during molt.

Skin is usually any color but mostly secondary colors.

Blood is BLUE!!! They bleed blue, their tongue is blue, their genitals are blue, etc. blue blue blue. The darker patches of their skin is very soft and fragile, the exo isn’t as thick here.

Any other fluid? Tears, spit, and semen/discharge is a light yellow.

They have exoskeletons. SO THEY MOLT. but instead of molting like a bug, they shed their molts piece by piece. So let’s say, the forearm splits off, then the leg. They’re very sensitive and vulnerable when molted and waiting for their exoskeleton to harden.
Molt every 4 months

Females stay soft when mothering a child. They’re soft for about 4/5 months, and are extremely reclusive and defensive as they’re easily harmed. Their baby feeds off of their breast, where the thinned layers of skin are able to be suckled on! Babies actually don’t eat too often

Lets get into spicier details now, shall we?

In molt? EXTREMELY SENSITIVE!
not only that, but genetalia is extra exposed in this form, there’s no exoskeleton protecting much. This is when a lot of the species mate because they’re so sensitive and fertilization is much easier

Feathers basically turn into clits LOL. Like on both species. If you touch that shit, they’re gonna squirm and moan. WHEN hardened, they’re still very sensitive, but even more so when the flesh is tender around the feathers

Molted skin has a sheen to it and mostly just feels like.... a really sweaty person. Not exactly sticky nor dripping, just moist

Very pliable, they’re basically jello like this, kinda cute.

They don’t really have ‘heats’ when molting!! It’s just a social thing!!

The ‘claspers’ are little extra bits of flesh that stick out but have tons of uses !!

When not mating, the claspers kinda... chill out and exist. They hug the body when cold and lower when hot, but they don’t hold anything like semen.

They can also be used for feel around

While I like to call the male genitals the ‘flower dick’ because of the cute little claspers
It’s only appropriate to call the female’s bits ‘butterflies’ lmao

So! With females, the labia actually opens up when aroused, otherwise it stays closed like in the dumb doodle

Female genitals are similar to humans but the labias close up. It’s very similar to a Venus fly trap in appearance, but still soft and fleshy. The clit is actually on the bottom half of the slit, this allows males to rub their claspers against it.

The folds are moveable but nothing crazy, females can only control opening and closing to an extent, buuuut can use it to clamp down on a males dick, so that’s cool!

Theyre quite dry, females to secrete slick, but not nearly enough to count as lube for penetrative sex
