I think often of post-canon shuangjie being thrown together for shenanigans and things are not 100% right they are oddly polite with each other but sometimes they slip up and say stuff that makes everyone else go like ?? what the ABSOLUTE fuck did y’all get up to in your youth?

Like I just imagine Lotus Pier owned a lot of carriages, and one of them was fancier than the others and specifically for the Sect Leader and his family to use and one time shuangjie took it out for a joy ride and WWX who is a TERRIBLE driver crashed it so badly that not only

was it completely ruined, the horse broke free and ran off, so they lost the horse too. And ofc like stupid kids they tried to hide it but got in SO MUCH TROUBLE with YZY for (1) taking the carriage without permission (2) crashing it (3) losing the horse (4) lying about it

Fast forward decades later, for some reason they find themselves hopping into one of YMJ’s carriages to make a quick getaway with some juniors in the back. WWX is holding the reigns, a little pale, and is like “Ok I swear I won’t crash the carriage and lose the horse this time.”

JC is just GRIPPING HIS SEAT FOR DEAR LIFE and he says really quickly and harriedly “at least if you crash the carriage this time, it’s mine, so no one will get angry.” Then he pauses. “Except maybe the accountants, but I’ll deal with them later.”

And the juniors are all thinking WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON, then WWX snaps the reigns, and they go careening off and suddenly no one is thinking everyone is just screaming.
