daisuke’s poetic thoughts on Haru for @fkbuq, a thread:
daisuke sees haru both times he looks up after frantz beats him and begins to see him as a beacon of safety
daisuke had never considered something so small as helping a child as heroic until he sees haru try to help find a missing puppy on his day off
when haru throws open the door and saves him and the president of poliador from the nerve agent daisuke thinks he’s being saved by some sort of angel. he doesn’t stop thinking it when he sees it’s haru
when daisuke thinks of justice, he thinks of haru
daisuke develops an entirely new asv suit for haru that cannot be interrupted by a dampener. he makes it light up blue because he thinks it complements haru’s eyes.
if he’s asked, daisuke will say he doesn’t have a favorite color, but he finds that haru’s hair is one of the most beautiful colors he’s ever seen
when daisuke first puts on haru’s sweatshirt he wonders what he’s done to deserve someone like haru caring for him enough to share what little he has with him
daisuke writes down, with pen and paper, every recipe haru shares with him. if he thinks it doesn’t taste right when he makes it, he’ll call haru and ask him to walk him through its preparation.
everything haru makes is the best think daisuke’s ever had. haru just has to make it.
when daisuke accepts his badge back from haru he feels like crying, because he never expected haru to forgive him for shutting him out
daisuke calls any residence he and haru share “home,” but only when haru is in residence, because he hasn’t felt at home without haru in a very long time
when asked by acquaintances why he decided to become a cop, daisuke talks about the example of a hero he met who risked his life for criminals as fast as he did for his friends. his voice gets tight when he talks about this hero he so believes in.
the first time haru hugs daisuke, he feels like his chest is about to burst. haru hugs him tighter, and daisuke is convinced that haru will always know exactly how to save him without even trying.
when daisuke and haru start dating, haru gives daisuke a couple of his old sweatshirts, which daisuke wears ALL THE TIME. mostly at home, but he’ll wear them if he and haru are grocery shopping. it always makes haru blush, which daisuke adores
