One last 🧵, I promise: My time up at the #GlassFire is coming to an end (for now) as I head back to Los Angeles. But I just wanted to share some photographs I made along the way, and some of the moments that have left an impression on me.
As my home @PhilipPacheco and I made our way up and down Silverado Trail and into Deer Creek, I found myself drawn to somewhat more pulled back, moodier moments of the #GlassFire
Along with @corumphoto, Phil and I found ourselves in the Skyhawk community of Santa Rosa where the then #ShadyFire threatened structures In the early hours of the morning.
Seeing the destruction and devastation that befell wineries like @TheCastello, with @sarahparvini. (Link to Thread 👉🏼) https://twitter.com/kentnish/status/1311094787454283779
Some of the firefighting operations going on along Hwy 29, during the #GlassFire.
Huge thank you to friends/fellow photographers in the field. Give them all a follow for some fantastic photography: @noahberger3884, @stephenlamphoto, @jcfphotog, @photographNic, @kentphotos, @sullyfoto, @stuartpalley, @jachristian, @CAGisMe, @SantiagoMejia, @BHoseaSmall + more!
But also, huge shoutout to the guys who stuck it out with me for the long hours on the #glassfire, and helped keep an eye on each other and keep each other safe – the homies @PhilipPacheco and @corumphoto. Definitely wouldnt have kept my sanity/safety w/o these guys.
Just want to add, there is no shortage of photographic talent in the Bay Area. The names I listed here were some of the photogs on the #glassfire. There are a plethora of talented friends who work in the Bay. I’m in awe of them all. https://twitter.com/kentnish/status/1312584098662084614
