A thread about why Burn the Witch by Tite Kubo bad.

TW for antisemetism & Nazi imagery
-
Feel free to ask questions. I will provide evidence and such upon request, but I cannot post pictures of Every Single Bad Thing from both Bleach & Burn the Witch
-
CONT
To start off, Tite Kubo wrote Bleach, which has a ton of issues on its own (misogyny, sexualization of minors, homophobia, transphobia, gay baiting, racism, etc.)
-
The final arc has a lot of not so subtle draws to Nazism & Nazi Germany. Tite Kubo has done this before.
-
CONT.
The final arc includes a group called the Sternritter. They are the final Big Bad as well as an allegory to Nazism and Nazi Germany.
-
The short version is that they are a group of “pure blooded” Quincy who seek to destroy the entirety of Soul Society as an act of revenge
-
CONT.
The issue with that all is that, it is a canon incident that the Quincy were the victims of Genocide perpetrated by Soul Society (technically the Good Guys). So to make them a Nazi allegory and the Big Bad at the end is Evil.

CONT.
Onto Burn the Witch.
-
Burn the Witch is absolutely Vile. His character designs are horrible. Kubo has also made his sexual harassment as a joke bit worse...
-
Regarding designs... One such character in Burn the Witch is sporting a straight up Hate Symbol.
-
CONT.
It’s the SS bolt... I have not read the series for obvious reasons (I hate Kubo), so I am not sure where this character stands or whether she is good or bad, but that is still not an excuse.

TW for Nazism & Nazi Imagery
-
ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS!
-
The series title itself has a very not so subtle Iron Cross in its design.
-
TW for Nazism and Nazi Imagery again
And one last final bit about his designs!

This is Noel and she is 17.
TLDR: Kubo has a track record of being a disgusting lowlife. He isn’t new to the subtle and not so subtle Nazi imagery among other things. It will not get better. He is doing it on purpose. Do not waste your time with Burn the Witch or any of Tite Kubo’s works.
