Okay so, does nobody else see it& #39;s an issue that one group of people labelled as sex workers, like this person, is able to net a good house like this, but prostitutes on the street literally have to keep their occupations just to survive? And liberals don& #39;t get this? https://twitter.com/savannah_solo/status/1311356512506445827">https://twitter.com/savannah_...
There is a clear class divide at play here, and a clear division in what falls under the generalized umbrella of "sex work". People point to this as proof that sex work is an overall positive, while ignoring the people who are abused by pimps and johns on the street.
And yet, the liberals focus so much on these petite bourgeois types who own their own means of production, while ignoring and even ridiculing the street prostitute who turns to sex work because *they need money inside of a society where the choice is wage slavery or death.*
It exhausts me that these liberals, who claim we& #39;re "exclusionists", refuse to discuss the negative side of "sex work", refuse to discuss street prostitution, trafficking, and WHY it even exists in the first place. They don& #39;t even care when it happens in semi-colonial countries!
You think women, teenagers even, in Vietnam, Cuba, Thailand, India, or Brazil particularly enjoy having to engage in street prostitution within poor areas, to be finagled with and harassed by tourists? You think THAT is empowering? It& #39;s oppressive is what it is!
