“I do wanna get married...just not to you.”

I can’t knock anyone for what they do after hearing this from their partner of 11 years.

I’m hearing this lady’s situation so I’ll give y’all the backstory shortly.

Aight boom. After 11 years with her man, he walks into the bedroom one morning with her favorite coffee and muffin for a local spot. She thanks him for the breakfast in bed. He says “I wanna break up.” She chuckles thinking he’s joking. He says “I’m serious.”

“I’ve felt this way for the past 2 years, but I held on thinking the feelings would return.” He never said a word to her about how he felt. He didn’t know if he wanted to be with her after year 9. So he stuck around another 2 years.
