Let's examine Surah 113 in the Holy Quran, entitled The Dawn:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
113:1 Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn,

113:2 From the evil of that which He has created,

113:3 And from the evil of intense darkness, when it comes.. 1/
...
113:4 And from the evil of those who cast (evil suggestions) in firm resolutions,

113:5 And from the evil of the envier when he envies. (HQ Surah 113) 2/
Let's examine the very first instruction of this Surah. ALLAH Says: "Say". "Say" is an instruction to not just verbalize, but to act on, as He, ALLAH, Says to anything "Be" and it is. 3/
Many of us as students, have expressed difficulty in understanding 'who' is creating the evil, that this verse, and furthermore each verse in this chapter speaks to... 4/
Since the word 'create' is used, then this means that the evil in various characteristics mentioned in this chapter are not 'made'— meaning you start from something— but it means that, if it's 'created', it came with The Creator Himself... 5/
This, I'm sure, produces a perplexing challenge for the human intellect that thinks of itself as separate and apart from the Oneness of God. The Quran mentions in Surah 114, a slinking devil that whispers into the hearts of men from among the Jinn and the men... 6/
This whispering of the devil into the hearts does not come from the faculty of hearing audible sound, but instead, spawns from a rebellion that comes out of our nature when we are disappointed, displeased, or angry.. 7/
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan taught on this about 3 years ago, and gave us the example of small babies and how that redness comes up in their face, symbolic of the fire of disappointment, anger, and impatience when the baby has to wait to get its satisfaction... 8/
that is either in the bottle, or the breast of its mother. Look at people close around you, like your mother, your father, your brother, or sister, even unto close friends, when things do not turn out as they expected... 9/
Or, just look at yourself and see how the Jinn that is in your nature reaches a boiling point and can cause a lot of damage when the men, and/or extension of GOD in your nature, is uncultivated... 10/
I'm speaking of the 2 forces that sit right up in the human heart, when either one becomes the dominant force, that's what others experience with you, and you, with yourself, that is most demonstrative when your emotions get out-of-control. 11/
As Muslims, we should review the 99 Attributes of ALLAH and study which of these 99 attributes came first in your nature, by simply observing infants... 12/
We can use the 99 Attributes of ALLAH to gauge where we are in our own development, and our level of development will manifest in the level of difficulty we experience both intra-personally and in our interpersonal relationships.... 13/
Have you acquired patience? Patience with yourself? When you have, your emotions will certainly be in check. And from this acquired state of consciousness, you will most certainly exercise this to others through a key attribute of ALLAH (GOD) called compassion.... 14/
...When we have not developed compassion as a personal attribute, which comes from acquired patience, we will find ourselves in failing conflict resolutions with almost everyone, starting with ourselves, such that we will be found in constant self-contradiction... 15/
...The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan reminds us, from the Holy Quran, to seek assistance from ALLAH (GOD) through patience and prayer. 16/
..I can't think of a more effective way of checkmating the Jinn within other than by seeking assistance immediately from ALLAH by literally acting on the forbearing with your suffering, through patience and prayer, which is prayerfully petitioning GOD for all that you need... 17/
...which He Promises to give us, every time we sincerely pray to Him, as He says in Surah 40 verse 60: "...I will answer you". 18/
I will end this thread of tweets on Surah 113 by saying to us that in every verse, down to seeking refuge in ALLAH from the envier when he envies, it's all about overcoming the evil— which simply means exceeding the limit of righteousness willfully— within ourselves. 19/
The key is seeking refuge in the Lord of the dawn, that starts off like a star, culminating with the biggest star by proximity to the Earth: the Sun, which gives us, light, life, and power, that will draw us out of the darkness that is right now being experienced... 20/
...in many respects by the whole of humanity regardless of our creed, our class, and our color. Just remember, that it starts as a star in intense darkness, and by being steadfast, it becomes the dawn of a new day when we overcome the evil within ourselves.. 😇 21/
