I'm gonna add onto this -

Yes, but in case anyone didn't know, being fat isn't a risk factor for Covid. It's moreso that fat people are denied healthcare and their health issues are categorized as 'fat problems' and their cancers aren't treated, then they die -> https://twitter.com/AshBCoffin/status/1312383829240406021
You can literally have a random ache in your side and a doctor will tell you that it's bc your fat is pushing against your rib cage so here's a pamphlet on how to lose 40 pounds in 6 months.

Medical fatphobia is a serious issue bc fat is pathologized: https://www.abc.net.au/life/health-impacts-of-weight-stigma-and-fatphobia/11728522
If you're cocking your head back going, 'Ew, but fat is unhealthy' and scowling, I've got a thread w/ resources for you to read: https://twitter.com/HappyShiiba/status/1290389498988130304
..But let's keep going. So fat people get denied healthcare and it's legal in some states to discriminate against them for it. If you read the thread above, tldr, fat is a complex thing and it's natural but there's $$ to be made in discriminating against it.
The diet industry rakes in billions of dollars and big pharma profits from taking the long way around in regards to health by either giving people drugs or denying it to them and seeing bodies in a one size fits all way where socioeconomic status isn't considered.
People get fat(ter) because even if they're naturally fat, you working 2 or 3 jobs and busting your ass to get your degree, take your kids to school, and weight cycling bc society is telling you that being small is acceptable is what's giving you the biggest health risks.
Studies have found that diabetes, heart disease, etc are all caused by stress as the main component (I've linked them in the thread above but if you don't see them, ask)

Stress from Capitalism. Stress from living in this hellscape w/ no way out. And making our bodies profitable
So, long story short, fuck yeah medical institutions are going to discriminate against fat people and force them to either lose weight to get adequate healthcare and/or trap them in a loop of forking up $$ for health treatment that'd be solved w/ socialized medicine and socialism
Finally, if you put this all together, you have the correct context and quick education to read this thread and article which explains this more thoroughly: https://twitter.com/chr1styharrison/status/1287742025752870912
