All these politicians checking in to hospitals as a “precaution” is amazing to me because when my mom, a healthcare worker, had suspected COVID, they told her to only come back if she needed a ventilator.

(I say suspected COVID because this was back in April when tests were scarce and she’s a doctor and told them she was pretty sure she was positive and to hold the test)

Anyway I think about my anxiety that month calling her every couple hours to make sure she was breathing because she was isolating all alone in her house and I genuinely wish this “precautionary” hospital check in business was available to everyone.
