As Dr. Conely said today. The team is cautiously optimistic. No one can really predict whether the president will experience an inflammatory response. That is why his heart, lungs, liver & kidneys are being monitored. /2

In the next 48 hours, inflammatory markers would start to be seen in his bloodwork as onset is between days 7-10. Meadows statement is not really in conflict with Dr. Conley’s at all. /3

It is of zero consequence if POTUS used supplemental O2 if he’s not on it now. Also doesn’t matter that he had a fever if he’s afebrile now.

Dr. Conley clearly said he was not committing to a discharge timeframe, because of the potential for inflammatory illness. /4

That was a stupid move by Meadows who I normally like. No member of the Trump administration is ever off the record. Clearly.

However, Dr. Conley said POTUS had a fever. Hardly breaking news. /5

My COVID positive loved one experienced an inflammatory response. On day 7 like clockwork. Limited to a skin reaction & treated once with a steroid shot, once with IV steroids. /6

You don’t know what COVID is going to do until it does it. If my loved one was having aggressive bloodwork like POTUS, it is likely they would have seen inflammatory markers before it happened. This is likely the 48 hour window Meadows is talking about. /7

The idea that POTUS looked to be in good shape last night and is somehow much worse today in the absence of an acute event (not COVID) is highly likely. Meadows confused what is most likely an accurate statement from Dr. Conley about the president’s status today. /8

Best thing is for Conley & Meadows to appear together & take questions. I highly doubt if you ask Dr. Conley if the clinical picture will be much clearer over the next 48 hours he would disagree since he basically said that today in his comments about inflammatory disease /9

appearing between day 7 & 10.
