{mini-thread} Here's an example of Russians amplifying a new conspiracy theory. This guy thinks R's were targeted by D's to give them #COVIDー19 on purpose. Here's what Russian accts do to enhance traction. The initial tweet is by an American who really believes his crazy theory.

Troll farms search all day for new crazy shit actual Americans are tweeting then amplify it in a web of bot accounts to falsify the actual attention this theory is given. In other words, jumping off a bridge b/c your friends did. A grandma on the right agrees w/this crazy theory.

Here is her *new* profile. But scroll back up & look at her tweet's stats. It went viral, along with a few more comments from her in the thread. All went viral. That ensures MAGA will see it & create organic amplification. Without that Russian push though, these wouldn't be seen.

I skimmed through all the comments in this thread and there are so many new accounts with massive amounts of RTs and likes it's unbelievable. That's how you inorganically amplify something into organic territory, and that's part of what Russia & the GOP are doing to us. #RESIST
