in fact, the vast majority of the population have absolutely nothing to do with these failures and many actively struggled against the powerful vested interests who caused the death of so many people in aged care.
only a select few have control over the ideological and greed-driven failures of neoliberal policy settings. A select few more have control of public narratives that blame the rest of us instead of the people who caused the problem and chose not to fix the problem.
when we struggle for change, the beneficiaries of current institutional arrangements, of establishment power, push back and resist any change to the system that rewards them so richly and undeservingly. And then use that power to point the finger at everyone but themselves.
oh we should be nice to Trump and accept responsibility for rampant privatisation, outsourcing, casualisation and transfer of public resources to the rich is propertied whiteness feeling the fear of societal collapse brought on by their own greed and irresponsibility.
outsourcing the Westminster doctrine of ministerial responsibility sounds pretty neoliberalismy to me. Oh we should all pull together because propertied whiteness fears chaos normally kept from their door by wealth and state violence. Lol, no.
the Speers Sunday post has the same conclusion as every Murphy weekend column. The government perspective is this, and [all evidence shows this government never does anything except for their own] here is an irrational expectation the government will do that.
also this shows the same pea and thimble trick pulled for Coleman and acting junior immigration minister Tudge. Either Colbeck has been relieved of aged care responsibilities or he has not. But Morrison is always allowed to have it both ways, for comms purposes.
every single #InsidersReading is highly paid columnists suggesting a government that has never promoted equality and recklessly splashes public cash on its pet ideological projects for the wealthy could just maybe this once turn around and act in the public interest.
this misguided pre-emption is based on the governments own comms drops. So when the budget is handed down, giving more public cash to the business- and propertied base, press gallery journos will again “report” what Morrison tells them is in the budget, not its actual content.
