1. Our first resource is the counseling center. During this time, it is SUPER important to develop your mental health. You can go to http://counselingcenter.illinois.edu  to make an appointment or look at the self-help brochures.
2. Our second resource is @BNAACC . They serve to provide programs & services that further individual, social, cultural, and academic well-being of Black students at Illinois. Go to https://oiir.illinois.edu/bnaacc  for more info! "Sit w/Sankofa" is also a great counseling alternative.
3. Our third resource is @uiuc_lacasa. They also provide programs & services that helps develop Latinx students at Illinois. Go to https://oiir.illinois.edu/la-casa-cultural-latina for more info!
4. The @IllinoisWRC is also a great resource for women on campus. They are making an effort to still provide support for students in need of confidential advising services related to sexual assault, harassment, stalking,etc. Find out more at https://oiir.illinois.edu/womens-center .
5. If you are a survivor of sexual assault, harassment, stalking, etc. You can go to https://wecare.illinois.edu  to report an incident, talk to someone, support someone, or to find guidance when you do not know what to do.
6. If you are ever in need of late-night assistance (especially in times where you feel unsafe) a FREE alternative to Uber/Lyft/Etc. is SafeRides ((217)-265-7433) & SafeWalks ((217-333-1216). These are provided through the university and the numbers are provided on your I-Card.
7. If you need other disability resources and educational services, please go to https://www.disability.illinois.edu/ . There is information about academic support, living accommodations, transportation, etc. Check it out!
8. TUTORING! If you need tutoring, https://dgs.illinois.edu/tutoring-support has PLENTY of resources including Math, History, Economics, and Chemistry tutoring. The websites for OMSA, DIA, and CARE are also provided on the website. Don't miss your beat!
9. OMSA offers 5 academic services, including tutoring, review sessions, study skills workshops, supplemental instruction, and structured study groups. Visit https://www.omsa.illinois.edu/index.html  for more info!
10. The MCB Learning Center provides a space for students to meet with any available MCB 100, 150/151, 250/251, 252/253, and 354 teaching assistant during their office hours. 13. The ACES Career Center provides similar (if not better) resources/services as the main career center. However, they tend to be more available and flexible than the career center. Find out more at https://academics.aces.illinois.edu/career-services/students
14. Go to https://leadership.illinois.edu/  to attend programs/workshops at the Illinois Leadership Center. There is also information provided on how to obtain a leadership studies minor and/or a leadership certificate. Check it out!
15. As the deadline to add a second 8-week course approaches (Oct. 23), it is important to use https://registrar.illinois.edu/academic-records/dars-audit/ to look at your DARS report and see what general education requirements are necessary for YOUR college journey.
16. https://registrar.illinois.edu/registration/registration-process/ is a helpful website to learn to create a registration checklist, learn how to further operate our registration system, and find out more about time tickets.
17. You can find a GPA calculator at https://registrar.illinois.edu/courses-grades/calculate-your-gpa/. It tells you how to understand the GPA system here at UIUC & it allows you to estimate your GPA.
18. https://waf.cs.illinois.edu/discovery/gpa_of_every_course_at_illinois/is the PERFECT website to look at the average GPA in every course offered at the university. Just type in the desired course & the information pops up! Can be helpful for picking out that second 8-week course.
19. Rate my professor is CLASSIC for seeing what kind of professor you are going to have before you take course! So, after you look at the average GPA, go to https://www.ratemyprofessors.com/campusRatings.jsp?sid=1112 to look at the professors too!
