Minecraft is adding axolotls to the game, and while this is super cute and all, I'm extremely worried about the way they're portraying them and the amount of people I've seen, saying they want an axolotl now. PLEASE read this thread.

Okay. The snippet we got of axolotls in the game worries me for multiple reasons.
1) Axolotls are never pink in the wild. Please do not think they can survive as a pink axolotl in the wild. Please never release a pink axolotl into the wild. Pink axolotls are

bred in captivity ONLY. Axolotls are found BEIGE in the wild. Like the other color.
2) Another thing about axolotls in the wild: they are NEVER found in groups like that. Theyre native to mexico, extremely rare, and found ALONE. Please do not house an axolotl

with other axolotls. HOUSE THEM ALONE. They can become agressive and start nipping eachother. They can't be cute little "dating" axolotls.
3) Axolotls are not very interesting. They won't be able to show you love, they won't be able to cuddle you or play with you.

If you get an axolotl, it will largely have to be left alone. Please just keep this in mind.
4) Overall, axolotls are extremely high maintenance and require a pretty advanced tank rig to safely house one. If you don't have the proper money, space, resources, or time

to TRULY care for one;
don't own one.
I get they're cute, and they're probably gonna become a whole ass trend thanks to minecraft, but please. PLEASE. don't get one without doing EXTENSIVE research from TRUSTED SOURCES online. Thank you!
