Great Cllr day today.
Hosted an online #Lockdown surgery.
Then visited all the housing repairs flagged up by residents.
1st problem:
The deck-Access balconies on Prospect House @SE1 were flooded, because the contractors who had visited to clear the drains had failed.
I managed to clear 2, but one still blocked.
2nd problem,
Blocked gutter at Clandon House, Boyfield St.
Casing damage to communal areas.
3rd problem,
People from Webber St flats dumping their rubbish at junction with Lancaster St.
4th problem,
Damage and poor repair of drain at Amigo House:
The Dow pipe just pours onto the lawn, the drain has been smashed, and pipe stops 5’ short.
6th problem,
Sub-standard repair of fire door in Dodson St.
The door jamb is parking chef in with softwood, left unpainted, and has screws which I managed to undo by hand.
All these problems (except dumping) caused by #Southwark’s Housing repairs team failing to take responsibility and pride in their work.
I will be speaking to Housing dept. To explain residents and cllrs do not find this acceptable.
Thanks as always to my @StGeorgesWard colleague @mariaadderley Maria Linforth-Hall for her help in raising these problems, and working to get them sorted.
