Any State can put these #mercenaries on trial for participating in #warcrimes. Especially, if its legislation has the principle of #universaljurisdiction. Countries that have #terrorism related laws may also prosecute them or transfer them to be tried for intl #terrorism (2/7)

Moreover, it is not excluded to bring a case against #Turkey in the International Court of Justice #ICJ in The Hague by countries who suffered injuries by Turkey's facilitation & use of foreign #mercenaries against them, such as #Armenia or #Libya, and demand #reparations (3/7)

The attacks of #Azerbaijan on civilian infrastructure, residential areas, hospitals, schools, $ targeting civilians, constitute shameful violations of the intl humanitarian law #IHL not to mention their recruitment of #Syrian #mercenaries facilitated and arranged by #Turkey (4/7)

This is not the first time that #Azerbaijan is recruiting foreign #mercenaries against #Armenia. During the 1988-1994 war Azerbaijan brought thousands of mercenaries from #Afghanistan, #Pakistan and #Chechnya, and paid them generously. (5/7)

#Armenia has the right it defend itself against the belligerent actions of #Azerbaijan according to Article 51 of the #UnitedNations Charter. The intl community must act swiftly and decisively to stop #Azerbaijaniaggression and force them back to the negotiating table. (6/7)

The #internationalcommunity must also work towards bringing all foreign #mercenaries participating in the latest #AzerbaijaniAgression into a jurisdiction where they can be prosecuted, otherwise the world will never be safe from their evil and terror in the coming years. (7/7)
