Really baffles me that people get so irate about being single. I’ve been single for four years now, with the odd attempt at dating here and there ... And I think since mid 2019, I’ve been of the mindset that a relationship could compliment my life, but isn’t essential ??

Something clicked earlier this year and I realised I have everything I already need ... So a partner is a bonus. Because of this I’ve felt able to not tolerate shitty behaviour from men, that I’d have previously bent over backwards for.

Also final thing because I’m preaching a bit now. But this change in mindset has helped me bring a ‘better me’ to dating situations. I used to be SO insecure and would worry about everything whilst dating. Now I’m so much more laid back and open to seeing where it goes.

Realise I’m lucky because I have an incredible group of friends for support. But if you ever needed a reminder ... Invest time in your friends and you won’t settle for shit men!!
