Good morning. My neighbor got stoned and gave me a very enthusiastic tour of his vegetable garden and now I have enough basil to make pesto!
Update: He has 12 tomato plants he's taking down tomorrow and asked if I wanted to harvest the last crop for myself since his family is sick of them now.
Me: They're being so nice. Though I do wonder why.
Stoner gardener neighbor: "My wife and I knew you were cool when we saw the sign you pit up next to your apartment!"
Me: In hindsight that should have been more obvious

I'm just going to continue this as a cooking journey thread because @celineorelse posted an very tasty looking sauce recipe that I'll be making with these tomatoes. Gizmo protected my feta and eggplant I got at the weekly farmer's market downtown.
No lemons at the Farmer's Market so I reached out to the Buy Nothing Project community. Walked half a mile to a neighbor with a lemon tree growing fruit the size of Gizmo's head. Air was nice this morning!
This is the recipe I'm doing for those interested https://twitter.com/celineorelse/status/1312558083810512897
Stall only had this type of eggplant, but it should be fine. Adding parsley and basil because I love myself.
This thread is maybeeee being made specifically to flaunt the butcher block kitchen island I got on Nextdoor for $60. I love it so much.
