I’d wager a large adult beverage:

1) Trump knew he had tested positive earlier than disclosed

2) He was initially asymptomatic

3) He refused to cancel his planned events

4) Staff rationalized it as better to hide his COVID diagnosis even if he infected some people...

1/
...because the admission would be hugely politically damaging and worst case scenario, they could lie about the timeline or plausibly deny it was Trump himself who infected others.

5) He then became more seriously symptomatic and there was no choice but to disclose his diagnosis
6) But the failed attempt to cover up his COVID left them with no choice but to offer a false timeline.

7) And now they’re caught.

I will bet all of the beers, Trump and his staff knowingly chose to expose others to COVID in an effort to hide his diagnosis.

Bank on it.
