Imma make a little thread about aro/ace vs lesbian hcs, not in disagreement to this hc AT ALL, but more in something that frustrates me about these kinds of conversations

WHY do we keep talking about aro/ace (or aroace) headcanons like they invalidate other sexuality headcanons? Do you know just how frustrating that conversation is to people who are aro/ace and are ALSO bisexual/lesbian/gay/pansexual/etc? It's annoying and tiring

this is especially prevalent with lesbian vs aro/ace hcs. I know we're all looking for rep and whatnot, but someone saying "I hc this character as aro/ace" should never warrant an argument about how no they're a lesbian, or vice versa. These Sexualities do not exclude each other

and they never have. Heck, most asexual ppl (I dont know about aromantic ppl so I wont speak on this) are women or nonbinary ppl, and a big chunk of them are also sapphic. There is no one way to be asexual or a lesbian. Stop doing this to the ppl in your communities

I'm an n-b lesbian. I'm also aspec, which I don't often speak about because TO ME it's not as big a part of my identity NOW. But it once was, and it could be again.
