My great grandfather gave 100 bigha land to someone from lower caste for ploughing. He has a family of 30+ members. He had nothing to feed his big family. My great grandfather was a priest to a temple which we are serving for more than 300 years.

The deal was simple. The man and his family can plough the fields for some years and once they come out of poverty, they would leave our land.
My great grandfather died and after some years, my grandfather asked them to vacate the land.

They refused. Grand father took the matter to panchayat. Panchayat heard it and gave verdict in our favour.
They accepted it and asked my grandfather to visit their home which they build on our land.

Grand father was simple man so he went there and they poisoned him in the tea. He later collapsed while coming home. Father took him to the hospital. He recovered but he lost his mental condition.

The family of that farmer lodged an FIR against my grandfather and said

He tried to molest the mother of that farmer and also put SC/ST act.

My family fought the case for 30+ years and in 2016 we won that case against that family after my grandfather died.

We got our lands back.

It took just one fake complaint from lower caste family to destroy the reputation pf my grand father and the family.

My family never did casteism. We never hurt anyone from the lower caste. We helped and yet we faced all of these.
