Friends that are vegetarian: I need help! I'm trying to cut meat out of my diet, but due to IBS (sorry, TMI) I cannot have soy, beans, peas, or artichokes, which seem to be the major players for non-meat protein. I'm cool with chic peas but they get boring. Any other suggestions?
Also can't do lentils, almonds, kale, cauliflower, specific additives like chicory root or carragageen, and any fake sugars . Stomachs are weird and unfair.
But, as I am a scientist, I kept a detailed food journal and did experiments on myself to figure out what causes flare-ups. I also did a allergy blood test which also helped figure out some weird ones.
