hisoka is a pedophile. no ifs, ands, or buts. by definition is "a person who is sexually attracted to children." it does not matter that he is attracted to children because of their "power" or "potential." the fact that they are 12 years old should be a turnoff for any sane human

being. when he gets turned on by the thought or actually fighting gon, it does not matter the reason he is turned on, but the fact that a child turns him on. you don't have to be both sexually and romantically attracted to a child to be a pedophile, it can be one or the other.

if you were not uncomfortable by the scene in greed island where he is LITERALLY STARING AT KILLUA AND GON'S ASSES WHERE THEY ARE CLEARLY UNCOMFORTABLE, i don't know what to tell you.

about palm. yes, i agree that she is also a pedophile. i am not trying to excuse her actions whatsoever. HOWEVER, there is an actual narrative reason for why she is like that. the whole point of palm's character is to strengthen and solidify killua and gon's relationship.

honestly, i have my suspicions as to why togashi made hisoka like this. the "adultrio" are all supposed to be irredeemable characters. illumi is a manipulative abusive asshole, chrollo is a genocidal mass murderer who has no remorse or sympathy. what does hisoka have?

he kills people, but so do 75% of people in the hxh universe. compared to illumi and chrollo, he is somewhat "tame." my personal theory is that togashi didn't want the readers to start to "sympathize" with hisoka, for lack of a better term, so he made him a predator.

maybe (probably) i'm grasping at straws here, but i honestly can't think of any other good reason to make him that way.

i just want to add a quick little thing about the chrollo point. really? his nen ability?? you're allowed to like him just because he's hot, you know. no one's stopping you.

nobody hates hisoka stans for liking hisoka (besides a handful of people on tumblr but we don't talk about them). the hisoka stans people criticize are the ones like you who actually try to defend his attraction to children. you like him because he's hot?

you like him because he's an interesting character? go crazy, go stupid. but when you try to defend actual pedophilic behaviors is where people start to draw the line. it's okay to like him and acknowledge that he's a pedophile, it's not that hard.

i used to think like this too, and i'm not even a hisoka stan. never was. i'm making this thread to educate people, to change their point of view, as to say. you're not a bad person for liking hisoka. just understand that he's a pedophile.

in conclusion, don't actively defend and excuse predatory acts just because you like him. stan my sexy king leorio for clearer skin. i rest my case.
