This thread is to make people aware of the scam of "Packers and Movers" going on in India.
I came across a website when I searched for "packers and movers in Bangalore".

The person I talked with he said his name is Rahul Kumar (+9108296420962)

I asked him for the service they provide and charges for my items to deliver at Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh.
He said you will have to pay Rs. 11,800 and no extra charges.
I said okay deal done!
I paid Rs. 500 as a token amount.

Then they came late night although I told them to come in the afternoon. They packed the stuff quickly and added it to transport. They asked Rs. 300 for labor and then they gave a receipt copy which looks like this and has nothing much to say.

Then they took items to their place near Nagwara, Bengaluru. They asked me about the insurance that I want to pay and then they gave a bill which they sent me through the mail. It had balance amount of 15,100. So they went from 11,800 to 15,100 (3,300 extra) including Rs.800.

When I asked them to shift the items back to the place they asked for Rs. 7000. So I decided not to do this and resume the process. Then they told me if you pay now (8 Sept 2020) we will deliver items around 18 Sept for sure. (10 days). Then I had to pay the full amount.

After all this, they never gave me the tracking link or something by which I could track the position. After 20 Sept I got the number of a transporter named Sree Bhagyalaxmi Transport ( …https://sree-bhagyalakshmi-transport.business.site/  ) from Rahul.

He said he will try to deliver the items within one week if I provide the RC of my vehicle that was there in the items. I did this too. I got my items on 28 September. After a lot of calls and they talk like they are Gangster (too rude), not a service provider

My items got damaged. The bike got the maximum damage. The front rim, Mud Gaurd, and a fiber part above the red light at the back of the vehicle is damaged. When I asked for the insurance policy the guy named Rahul Abused on the call and said I won't claim a single piece.

Because I was calling them every day for the status check of things. Still, I haven't got anything from them as far as insurance money is concerned. The GST got me the information about the business owner who has several websites and businesses running like this one.

Mistakes I did:
1. Haven't checked the review of their service.
2. Didn't confirm the genuineness of what they are doing.
3. Didn't take everything handwritten & copy of the insurance policy before handling the items.
4. Trusted the voice call conversation.

I researched after whatever has happened and got to know that I am not the only one who has come across these kinds of things.

They gave the bill on the name #VRLPackersAndMovers not Vikrant Packers and Movers as written on the website.

They introduced themselves by these names and could defer in your case.

TLDR;
1. They take items by telling you the price they will take.
2. They ask extra money which they didn't share before or else you have to take your items back from their place.
3. They didn't speak properly and clearly.
4. They didn't ensure the safety and insurance of items.

Update:
1. Rahul has blocked my number.
2. Adarsh said you will Rs.850 for damage after 3 days after calling from a different number.
3. Chetan/Chandan not picking calls from my number.
They won't pick your calls if your items got damaged.
