How about this messaging from the Government?

Christmas is going to be disrupted this year. And I know that's so sad and hard to hear, but it's true. No one knows HOW disrupted, but it'll be disrupted. Start talking now with your family...

...about what would be meaningful for you, and how you could do that safely. How could you do that if there's full lockdown, local lockdown, if people are immune-compromised etc.

Thankfully, a lot of OTHER people have had their special days, their Eids & Passovers, disrupted...

they've had their weddings postponed and funerals held under difficult circumstances. But with enough planning and communication, we can embrace change and still make something meaningful. Start talking now because there is no way Christmas is going to be 'normal'. Sorry.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW HARD IT IS TO BE REALISTIC AND HONEST WITH A POPULATION AND SHOW NO COMPASSION AND THEN LATER PLAY A BLAME GAME. THIS IS NOT HARD THIS IS SIMPLE EXPECTATION MANAGEMENT.
