It appears to me that in like the 80& #39; or whatever ASIC tools were much more open and accessible than now, so there are all these really old projects like Magic and XSchem. Now with Sky130 it seems everyone is just picking up the ancient tools rather than building modern tools. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧐" title="Gesicht mit Monokel" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Monokel">

Yay? I managed to simulate a Sky130 transistor in eeschema. Far from ideal, but it& #39;s... something.
Okay so text labels can contain spice directives and the model line can contain the parameters! No trivial way that I can tell to cause w and l to show up on the schematic though, other than showing the WHOLE model line. https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1829618">https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bu... \cc @tnt @trc_wm
Wow this thread is still going, so I& #39;ll throw in the proverbial soundcloud. My first target is Gowin FPGAs, but my larger goal is very much tools for chip designers. There is a large overlap with my work at Symbiotic, but their interest is more synthesis https://twitter.com/pepijndevos/status/1307690303676182530?s=19">https://twitter.com/pepijndev...
