White cisgendered heterosexual men who graduated from fancy colleges are much better situated to master and apply this language if we so choose than are working class queer BIPOC or whoever else the imagined beneficiaries are.

The larger issue is that as highly educated people have emerged as a very progressive demographic bloc, there’s been an effort to back-form the idea that “talking like a highly educated person” is the essence of progressive politics, which is totally toxic.
