Request for two React JS mentees. Pls read thread till the end.

My friends ( @Del_sama, @iamtoystars) and I are currently mentoring a group of newbie devs to work on a project that they are using to learn. Most of the backend work is done, frontend is ongoing.

The challenge at the moment is that the only fully active person (because others are super busy) is more focused on the backend and cannot do the frontend alone. This means that we need two persons who are currently learning React JS, looking for mentors, to jump in alongside.

Disclaimer: This project does not belong to the mentors, but to the mentees. We are only giving our time for code reviews, pair programming and to break down tasks. Everything about the project is being managed and decided upon by the mentees.

The staging project is hosted on Heroku here http://mentorpaired-staging.herokuapp.com/  and this is the Github org https://github.com/mentorpaired . The code is completely open source.

The idea of the project is to build a platform that can pair mentees and volunteer mentors together so that people can easily find mentors in order to learn programming. We can only handle two more persons currently learning React JS who do not need too much handholding.

We do checkins and calls once in a while, and you are free to reach out to us if you have questions. The idea is that you should own your own learning, so we will not pressure or push you because we no get plenty energy :)

Please reply to this thread explaining why you are interested and we will reach out to you. Location does not matter, we communicate mostly on slack.
Just two mentees needed, this is not an internship or anything like that. We are just volunteer mentors.

This blew up way more than we expected. We will try to make a decision as soon as possible.

Thanks for sharing everyone, we already reached out to those we think would be a good fit. It was a tough decision making process and we do not have the bandwidth for everyone at the moment. I will share this thread, so that people looking for mentees can find one here.
