There has been a real re-igniting of the 'proper Chels' vs 'non-match going fans' culture wars in recent weeks - this appears to have stemmed from the Mason Mount/Frank Lampard criticism on social media since the re-start. Some observations .....
There is no 'them and us' , 'loyal or plastic' , 'better or worse' between match going fans and those who don't or can't attend for whatever reason-a Chelsea fan is a Chelsea fan regardless of whether they can get to the games-so stop this stupid snobbery, we are all family
Having an opinion on players/the manager , using social media to express your views/frustration is fine - just don't tip into abuse . Critique and abuse are very different - calling for the head of the manager after 4 games or abusing a player you don't like is ridiculous
The idea that match going fans are blameless when it comes to abusing players/managers is also laughable - I've been at plenty of games where individual players and managers have been booed and abused .. enough with the moral high ground , just accept its wrong whoever does it .
In summary, times are tough for all of us, the team is in transition , the manager is young and on a steep learning curve- it's going to be a lot more bearable if we all made an effort to support the team and spend less energy abusing each other -good times are coming #KTBFFH
