all we know now is that the level of oil products is exceeded four times and the level of phenol is exceeded two times. thousands of ocean living beings are dead, people who surfed there have chemical burns and intoxication #ЯМыТихийОкеан

the first signs of this catastrophe appeared three weeks ago. surfers felt nausea, dryness of eyes and that their throat was swollen. later about 20 people who surf often got strong poisoning with fever, vomit and stomachache #ЯМыТихийОкеан

firstly people thought that it was just an ordinary intoxication, but later it was clear that something happens with the Pacific Ocean. Surfers said that the taste of water wasn’t salty anymore, but it became bitter #ЯМыТихийОкеан

people who dived into the water said that the whole bottom is dead. Fish, starfishes, octopuses, the strongest seashells are dead from headland Nalichevo to Avacha Bay (it’s more than 40km). some of them look like they were boiled #ЯМыТихийОкеан

now the shore line is full of dead ocean living beings, the water changed it’s color and became muddy and thick. people started to leave the shore area because symptoms of intoxication started to appear even if you didn’t have any contact with water #ЯМыТихийОкеан

people got some probes for independent expert oversight and tomorrow they’ll send it to Moscow

Kamchatka’s ministry of nature posted on ig saying that there are no anomalies bc the water seems clean and they don’t even take into consideration that thousands of ocean animals are dead and people had intoxication #ЯМыТихийОкеан

they cleaned the beach, filmed the video, said that there are nothing wrong because the water is clean and called it a day??? what’s going on??? #ЯМыТихийОкеан

the surfers who went to the ocean today to take probes wrote on ig that the water is cleaner but there is still strange smell, yellow contaminant and in three hours they felt scratch in the throat. some surfers were diagnosed with cornea burns of stage I and II #ЯМыТихийОкеан
