See loads of people tweeting they got onto the RC writers group. That's cool but, know I've said this loads, I never got onto it. Applied multiple times. It's just a snapshot of a moment in your long life of making stuff you think should exist and means nothing if you didn't.

Your urgency, and purpose, is bigger than a writers group. Don't be deterred. Make awesome stuff that you think needs to exist boldly and purposefully. Make it the way you want to. Never judge yourself by others validation. What's important is what you need to exist; your way.

The deconstruction of what "success" means away from these kind of landmarks are the only way we can empower ourselves to be artists on our own terms. And trust me; your worth is in who you are not in stuff like this.

Also I love the RC and it's a great way to meet people and talk about theatre and learn loads from awesome people. Not detracting from that. Just... Don't get down about shit like this because, in the long run, it means very little.
