That’s what @TrustWalletApp team just did. $2,301,540,000 USD worth of $TWT burned, or roughly 99% of the total supply of $TWT.

Why?

I was informed of it along the way. Other than nodding along, I didn't say much. I was curious to see what happens. I am truly impressed by @vikmeup and team.

To me, this shows the #Binance ecosystem teams are not driven by money, but by mission. @vikmeup is not poor, but nowhere near having FU money, yet. And yet, he was not deterred the slightest by this amount of money. He led it the whole way, no fan flare, just business as usual

In fact, after creation of the $TWT, Viktor transferred all tokens to treasury. When doing the burn, it was found out that on Binance Chain, only the issuer address can burn. So, the tokens were transferred back, and Viktor burned it a few minutes later.

It was the most nonchalant sequence of tasks. But if you pause to think about it. More than 2 billion USD in value, transferred in seconds, then destroyed, is just mind blowing. I just watched it with some amusement. In fact, I was somewhat busy with other matters, lol.

There could be endless possibilities a money driven team could have pursued with the tokens. None of them were even brought up or discussed. The team simply said a burn was the right thing to do. That was that.
