Funny part? I simply tweeted the awful things Thackeray had said and done dating back decades.

I didn’t say I was happy or sad. Simply stayed facts. And named some of his victims.

And yet that was enough for the far right (and some folk pretending to be liberal) to harass, abuse, troll me for months after that.

These were folk SO concerned about being polite and nice that they organised themselves to send me hundreds of death and rape threats and gendered abuse every single day. For months!!!!

And some very prominent Hindu upper caste men told me that I wouldn’t get trolled and abused if I were a bit more polite. That it was my fault that I was being trolled.

I have tweeted before about fighting so won’t repeat but I remember the moment of clarity:

It wasn’t feelings that worried them. It was facts! And they were trying to weaponise feelings to@silence the facts.

Watching the same again with USA.

The Orange Schmuck presided over the pandemic for months, actively spread disinformation, played politics w.... red vs blue states, got CDC to remove essential life saving info, tried to muzzle Dr Fauci, gave air to bullshit conspiracy theories

...actively spoke up against masks even though that is one of the key ways to stay safe, pushed bullshit ‘cures’ that put more people at risk and made money for the chumocracy...

I could keep going. But 207,000 Americans are dead now.

These are facts. These are #inconvenienttruths.

And as the far right likes to shout, facts don’t care about your feelings
