So what was #Brexit really all about?

Sovereignty and immigration?

As far as the electorate were told, yes! Supported by a myriad of lies told over many years.

But for the architects and backers of Brexit it was something quite different, it was about wealth and power.

So why now?

1. Because as climate change awareness increases, so the super-rich increasingly fear restrictions on their ability to pollute cheaply via greater regulation
2. Because society is becoming more aware of tax avoidance and action against it is starting (eg in EU)

3. Because some states (particularly EU) have continued to strengthen employment and consumer protection over time.

All of the above are direct threats to the super-rich, to their corporate profits, and their ability to retain those profits for themselves alone.

Only a cursory glance at the finances of Brexiter Mogg, despite claims to being a patriot, shows that he avoids corporate taxes & invests virtually nothing in the UK, despite a £7BN investment fund at his disposal. Why?
Because he knows he can make more money within a corrupt

and unregulated environment, so for example he pours his money into Putin’s Russia, even tho that country poses a threat to Britain.

But the dilemma facing the super-rich was how to persuade ordinary people to vote against their own best interests and to the benefit of those super-rich, as with Brexit.

And then they found a formula, straight out of the Nazi propaganda manual; immigration and sovereignty

But this time they had extra, modern tools of propaganda to accompany the traditional right wing newspapers - social media.

SM gave them not only access to valuable data about their marks, with which to fine-turn their messages of lies/manipulation, but also an unregulated

media environment within which to operate. One that made the spreading of lies easier, more convincing and quicker with bot farms spreading disinformation, fake news and doctored photos at an alarming rate to an unsuspecting, ill prepared, complacent and ignorant population

So now that have us where they want us, they are quite happy with No Deal and why we will end up with a minimal deal if at all. Their objective, above all else, is minimal interference in their dreams for a low regulatory environment.
They think they have won, & this is why

they have become ever more arrogant, careless and open about the blatant corruption and nepotism now infecting our country to an ever increasing degree.

So what to do?

Having lost the Brexit debate, we now face a far tougher challenge, because we are no-longer up against just the billionaires, with their enormous power, but also our own government who have become their proxies, we cannot rely on even our Secret Services to have our backs

1. Self education
How many of us have wasted thousands of hours debating pointlessly w Brexiters?
How many have become relative experts on international trade, know the reality of “money law borders” (not the Leave lies) but cannot percolate the impermeable Brexiter mind?

Compare that to how much we have invested in really understanding the hugely complex web of the Far Right and how they plan to fully exploit the Brexit loopholes and de-regulation?

There was hardly a murmur on Twitter about Johnson’s Free Ports

Yet this is typical of their plans.

A sort of state within a state, with lower regulation, drawing in capital (from their Tory billionaire backers) and employment to the detriment of the rest of the country and the environment?

Doesn’t sound so good now does it.

2. Communication
No easy task against the established billionaire controlled media.

Brexit shows us we failed to educate our fellow citizens adequately.

So if some of our brightest and most committed struggled, how can we expect ordinary folk to manage it?

Yet we have the talent in media, arts and sciences to find was via film, broadcast, art etc to this using psychology and breaking down complexity to a level people can understand, absorb and relate to. Such patriots need to work together @DMinghella @HackedOffHugh

3. Supporting our warriors
There are plenty of good men and women out there doing work on our behalf trying to counter the lies of the RW press and their fake journalists. They need our financial support, they too need to put food on the table.

4. Political Alliance
While I’m no fan of the Far Left, we must work together with ALL progressive people. This is a RW project & they our primary enemy. Pressure on Labour and LD etc leadership to work towards an alliance without which power will not be wrested from Tories 18/x

5. Co-ordinated local activists
So far Twitter warriors have, in the main, been lone wolves doing their bit. I salute you for your care, solidarity and commitment. Without you, I could not have continued myself. But we need to work more together. Then we are stronger!

6. Enter Local Politics
Currently the government is lost to us. Their agenda fixed, their “deals struck”. But local politics is different. LD/Lab councils exist. Far more likely to be supportive of our views, how we can counter the billionaires. They still have some power

7. Push for more education to counter Fake news both within our family and our local schools, in the way that for instance Finland has.

Here the thoughts of just one lone wolf, others will have more & better ideas, but somehow, collectively we need to raise our game.
