Since Telangana seems to be known only for biryani/charminar and
'o w a i s i' on twitter, I've decided to make a thread on some beautiful temples here. This is my first time doing this so I apologize in advance if there are any mistakes.
1.Chilkuru Balaji Temple
Built almost 500 years ago, the main deity of the temple is Balaji Venkateshwara Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhoodevi accompanying him.There is no donation box here. Devotees usually offer 108 'pradakshinas' as prayer.
2.Gnana Saraswathi Temple, Basara
Located on the banks on the river Godavari in Basara village, the place of worship represents the holy trinity in the form of Devi Saraswathi, Lakshmi and Kali. One of the oldest temples in India, it is known for 'Akshara Abhyasam' of children.
3.Karmanghat Hanuman Temple
It is said that the temple was built in 12th century A.D making it one of the oldest temples in Telangana. Mainly known for curing life-taking diseases(a popular local belief), the temple boasts of splendid architecture.
4.Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple, Bhadrachalam
Situated on the banks of river Godavari, the construction of this temple dates back to 17th century.The principal deity here is Vaikuntha Rama. It is very famous for its festival.The yearly Sita-Rama Kalyanam here is quite popular.
5.Beechupally Anjaneya Swamy Temple
This 200 years old temple is the abode of Anjaneya Swamy (Lord Hanuman). Situated on the banks of river Krishna, it is famous for having Shiva Linga in the temple too.The temple also hosts a 'Pushkara Snanam' event in every 12 years.
6.Bhadrakali Temple
This temple is known to be built by rulers of Chanakya dynasty around 625 A.D and is an architectural beauty. The temple is dedicated to Devi Bhadrakali. It was looted by Khilji and was rebuild in 1950.

7.Sanghi Temple
It is situated in Sanghi Nagar, 35 km away from Hyderabad.
The temple is built in a Chola-Chalukya architectural style. Located amidst scenic surroundings on a hill top, the presiding deity here is Lord Venkateshwara.
It is also dedicated to other hindu gods.
These are few of the many beautiful and divine temples in Telangana. Will try add a few more later.
