In 2007, A channel named ‘live India’ aired a sting operation which showed a girl alleging that a private school teacher Uma Khurana is involved in sex racket and child pornography. Serious right?

As soon as the sting was aired on television channel, mob reached the school and started pelting stones at the school and damaged cars and whatever came in their way.

The mob caught hold of teacher Uma Khurana and stripped her on streets and teacher was beaten black and blue by the mob. Teacher lost her job and dignity. And case was registered against her in delhi police.

Delhi police started probe into the matter and tried to locate the student shown in Sting operation..

Turns out ‘student’ was a aspiring journalist and she was promised incentive by the journalist Prakash Singh which conducted the sting operation.

Live India never apologised.
