Before I went to bed last night I got into another of the conversations I actually find very heart breaking.
I just want honesty in this. In the end, most EO don& #39;t believe you can be properly Christian unless you totally assimilate to eastern liturgy, spirituality, and tradition https://twitter.com/FrJohnWhiteford/status/1312058681891131392">https://twitter.com/FrJohnWhi...

Throwing out bones like, "well AC& #39;s were hopeful in the 20s, but then they jumped the shark, so oh well" is just rhetoric.
The fact they insist on ignoring an actual sacramental AC traditional church existing today proves this.

The reference to WR orthodoxy is also rhetoric. It& #39;s just a thin veneer of liturgy. There are few WR bishops, and WR ordinations is considered so suspect that they hardly ever happen.
This is not allowing the WR to have any standing of internal validity.

Appeals to pre-schism church is also just rhetoric.
What it basically comes down to is anti-western anti-Catholicism. All development in the east is good, all development in the west is irredeemably bad.
We must assimilate to 2nd millennium orthodoxy to be a true church.
