this is very out-of-nowhere but i’ve been thinking about it today so i will share my thoughts

i’ve always been mad at the people that would look at the smash community and be like ‘this community is so awful and terrible’ when all the stories in july were coming up (1/?)
there are so many communities that wouldn’t go through something like the smash community did and i think that’s a lot worse, there could always be bad people out there that no one would ever know about and just keep them coming around but smash has taken effort to bring it up
two weeks before that happened a local high school community started to bring up their own stories and i found out about a lot of ppl i used to be close with have done some bad and to those that have shared their stories in that time, thank you for being so brave
communities that are willing to go through a hard time in an effort to rebuild and repair are very strong and i think they deserve a lot more respect than being called ‘terrible’ for doing something extremely difficult, yet beneficial for literally everyone
that’s all i had to say, stay strong :) thank you
