I realized while talking to a co-worker earlier that I really do love my job. There were two meetings today I was just eagerly looking forward to.
One because any time we have voice talent in the house it's a good time and our audio/vo team and voice talent are amazing.
The other was a brainstorming session for some unannounced content and I'm so hyped for the future. I have really collaborative, creative, and passionate co-workers and I felt that so strongly this week. It was just amazing energy all around and I'm so lucky to be at Bungie.
I know there's a lot of discourse about studios grinding their employees' bones to make their bread, so it feels good to be a part of something that doesn't have that cursed energy. Even separated by work-from-home as we are, there's still such a sense of camaraderie.
And also knowing that if I did want to take a day off I just could. I'm *still* adjusting to that. Just a little over a year ago I was working full time in insurance litigation and taking a day off required solving a sphinx's riddle and beating the devil at a fiddling competition
So being in an environment where employees' health and well-being is a priority is still mind-blowing to me. "I just check off the days and submit it and that's it? I don't need to write a thesis statement???" It's really amazing.
If you are in the industry and are looking at this thread like "uhhhh wait really?" we *are* hiring for a lot of roles. It's a great place to be https://careers.bungie.com/en-US/Careers
