This article & I have to say I read Simon Kuper’s columns mostly for their entertainment value (usually disagree w/ almost everything he writes).

Look at the statistics for employment & youth. Argentina comparison is interesting in that Europe itself is experiencing NIRP b/c its growth rates falling & future not looking great.

The sharpest decline of GDP in developed world is in the U.K. & Southern Europe in 2020.

I don’t mind the America bashing, I do it but from a good place as I am American & want to give constructive criticism.

But this guy is divorced from reality if he thinks Scandinavia = Europe.

These are small & rich economies & not representative of continental Europe.
