There is a dangerous recommendation being made by someone to only isolate students, staff and teachers that are close contacts of an infected person if they test positive for the virus, and that everyone who tests negative can go back to school. This completely ignores the
incubation period of the virus and CDC and Idaho public health guidance. A perfect example of why this recommendation is misguided is the increasing number of COVID cases unfolding at the White House and in our federal government despite prior negative tests. I urge school
districts not to follow this advice, but rather follow the guidelines of the CDC and local public health authorities, or you risk sending children, staff and teachers back to school with Coronavirus who will perpetuate the spread of the virus in schools.
