So I just had a thought (a thread)

I was just sitting here thinking about where we are right now in this country, and started reflecting on my country. Often when I would have conversations with my family, they would talk about how wonderful it was to live (1)
In Venezuela, the few times that I have visited Venezuela when I was very young, I thought it was absolutely beautiful. My mother would tell me how safe it was living there, and I always sit in awe when I hear stories from my birth place. When we moved here and (2)
Over the years started to hear about everything that was going on in Venezuela. Often I would hear that what happened to Venezuela was a result of socialism from white folks and like to use my country as a representation of how socialism failed and I always (3)
Would get very insulted by that statement. When I look through the history of Latin America just like any country, people had to fight for democracy and basic human rights, from various Latin American countries. Spain, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador. So when I see (4)

You sit there and defend the actions of police who murdered black people, a president who has done absolutely nothing to help spread this virus, when there are thousands of people by the day getting sick or dying from this virus, white supremacists just proudly coming out, (14)
The state of Venezuela right now, it’s a result of one president. Who decided to change everything in a matter of a couple of years, and turned into a Totalitarian regime that even after death, the country only got worse and worse. It’s heartbreaking to hear my (5)
