It’s not that the load is heavy and all, it’s just time is constant and managing it isn’t for all of us. We just prioritize things. Don’t know if it’s applicable to all, but it feels like there’s a “test your knowledge cool down”.
While we were in school, it wasn’t that hard. We’d learn, but we weren’t tested immediately afterward. If we were, it be in the form of labreps, projects and the like that didn’t really involve having to absorb every word. Not sure if this makes sense
But it’s beyond just the learning environment. The 30 minute allotment for our lessons now isn’t one that fits for all of us. It takes a while to absorb.
When you learn slowly, it’s really upsetting how most of us feel undeserving of sleep when we don’t finish what we’re supposed to.
While the main argument against this is; “us having time to write stuff like this online, but not your requirements” could be true for some,
This thread could’ve taken a little less than 10 minutes. That single episode you watched was only 30 minutes.
No matter how many nights we decide not to sleep, or times we decide not to eat, that lingering feeling of guilt is still there; because in the end it’s our fault we couldn’t catch up.
This doesn’t consider those with responsibilities at home yet, with little siblings they need to care for while their parents work. There are a number of students in school like this.
There aren’t a lot of people who see this, but a little break, or a little change would be really nice. Something we can work on is better than something that tests our word-retaining knowledge.
