I know this as I have a Bengali in extended family...her parents created such a ruckus for the marriage. Not just Brahmin, they wanted a chatterjee too. And these are intellectual beef eating Bengali Brahmin yet caste was an issue. Who says there isn't casteism in Bengal?

Why is most media a close knit oligarchy of Bengali brahmins ?? Why do they only push and promote their own ? Seriously....not just left but many journalists on right are quite ignorant.
