(2/10) The COVID-19 Canada Open Data Working Group daily data update contained 84 deaths for Ontario tonight. Massive, trend-breaking, single-day spikes should immediately raise suspicions that you are looking at a data issue rather than a true phenomenon.

(3/10) Your suspicions would be correct. In fact, only 6 of the cases are from the past 24 hours. The other 78 were previously unreported deaths in Toronto from the spring and summer discovered during a data clean-up. 73 cases previously reported cases were discovered as well.
