I've been thinking a lot about this "wish him well" insistance, and it's starting to feel toxic. Many people have been abused and traumatized by this regime. Asking people to wish their abuser well is further traumatizing. 1/x

I can pray for the well being of the United States because Trump's death in this moment might cause greater damage without wishing him well. 3/x
But, no one is obligated to hope the President recovers. Or wish him well. And no one should be shamed for not shing their abuser well. It's a cruel and unrealistic burden. 4/4
