Need more support? Shoulder straps digging in? Your band is probably too loose. It should not pull up in the back, and should be snug (not painful)

The center gore (where the underwire meets in the middle) should lie flat against your skin. Yes it is possible even w a large bust

If you have large breasts, I highly recommend looking into finding your cup size in the UK sizing system. That way you don't gotta deal with "DDD/EE/F" like what the hell America

If you have one breast larger than the other, molded foam-lined bras and bras with stretch lace cups are great!

I find "balconette/balcony" style bras to be the most versatile in terms of being supportive but not going up so high they can be seen when wearing mid-to-low necklines
