Twitter says it will either delete or make you remove tweets that say you hope Trump dies from COVID and will possibly put your account into "read only" mode for an unspecified amount of time and adds that if you call this a "suspension" it will get mad

twitter has like 40 euphemisms for suspension and gets mad if you use the term "suspension" colloquially to mean "you cannot tweet anymore because you broke the rules"

i don't have any real thought as to what the rule SHOULD be. but, the things people say about the most powerful man in the world should be scrutinized less than, say, the things people say to private citizens, especially women and Black people and queer people on this site

Twitter has done a horrible job of policing death threats and targeted harassment for like, a decade. Its moderation system is more automated than FB or YT and it takes moderation less seriously than them (my opinion, based on talking to the people in charge)

so the idea it'd spend really any resources on this seems very misplaced
